New Tease of the Rolls-Royce SUV, Project Cullinan

Do you remember last year when we were given glimpses of a Rolls-Royce SUV? Most people do and recognize this car as Project Cullinan. Since it’s announcement, we’ve been given glimpses of the vehicle, but a full unveiling has yet to happen. In a press release issued today, Rolls-Royce gave us just a little bit more information on the project.

The English automaker released two new images of a specific Project Cullinan today, which is the first full development vehicle. It will undergo testing in public starting tomorrow. Rolls-Royce plans on taking the car to various places around the world, testing its capabilities and making sure it’s “Effortless…Everywhere.” The all-new aluminum architecture within Project Cullinan will be in all Rolls-Royce models from 2018 onwards.

“This is an incredibly exciting moment in the development of Project Cullinan both for Rolls-Royce and for the patrons of luxury that follow us around the world,” comments Torsten Müller-Ötvös, Chief Executive Officer, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. “Bringing together the new four-wheel drive system and the new ‘architecture of luxury’ for the first time sets us on the road to creating a truly authentic Rolls-Royce which, like its forebears, will reset the standard by which all other luxury goods are judged.”

McLaren P14 Spied on the Road

The McLaren 650S has already been out two years and it seems a replacement is in the world: the P14. This new model has been regarded as a junior P1 and will more than likely see a debut in the coming months, but nothing is truly certain as of right now.

What IS certain is the fact that Petrol Ped has witnessed the P14 on the road for himself. While on a drive in the U.K., he spotted a heavily camouflaged car and sent pictures of the car across his social platforms, asking what it was. The response was that this is indeed the undisclosed P14.

Along with the P14, will we also see the launch of the successor to the F1 next year? Only time will tell, but it looks like next year is going to be a great year in the supercar world.

Hublot MP-05 LaFerrari Sapphire $575K

A totally transparent sapphire case allows for unobstructed viewing of the record-breaking movement in this MP-05 “La Ferrari” Sapphire watch. The incredible carved sapphire case is a technical feat in itself, matched only by the technical prowess of the complex movement – designed and developed in house at Hublot. The movement was first unveiled in 2013 in a nontransparent MP-05. It offers an incredible 50 days of power reserve thanks to the 637 mechanical components. First Bugatti Chiron Crash Has Happened

Yes, you read that correctly: the first Bugatti Chiron crash has happened. An image of a Chiron being towed by a construction truck via straps have surfaced on GTBOARD.com’s Facebook page. According to TheDrive.com, the accident happened in Wolfsburg, Germany. This area also happens to be where Volkswagen Group’s headquarters is located.

A Bugatti spokeswoman told BILD: “The driver was unfortunately a little inattentive, which is why the car landed in the road ditch. Fortunately nobody was hurt.”

Thankfully, nobody was hurt. However, it still stinks to see parts a $2.5 million hypercar being dragged across the road as it’s being towed. Also, we’re also not sure if this was a test car or one that was meant for a customer. As soon as more information is released, we’ll be sure to write about it. 1,000 Ferraris Set to Break World Record at Ferrari Mondiali

Something unprecedented is being planned for this weekend in Daytona Beach, Florida. The historic high banked turns of Daytona International Speedway will be host to over 1,000 Ferraris in order to break the world record for the largest parade of Ferraris.

We were curious why the track’s owner, Jim France, took a vacation to Maranello last year. Now, we can gather that this trip was probably intended to plan the details of the event. Taking place December 1st to 4th, this Sunday will see the first Ferrari Mondiali in the USA. At the Ferrari Mondiali, a plethora of event will be taking place, including the record-breaking lap and the anticipated Finali Mondiali 2016.

LaFerrari Coupe to Benefit Earthquake Victims

One of the strongest earthquakes in recent history rocked northern Italy back on August 24th. Measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale, it leveled countless historic buildings and took the lives of several hundred people. Only 499 examples of the LaFerrari were initially planned, but Chairman and CEO Sergio Marchionne has authorized production of an additional coupe that will be sold to benefit those affected by the earthquake.

Volunteers from across Europe and the Red Cross are working day and night to help those affected get back on their feet, so expect to see a bidding war for the rights to car #500. Similarly, Ferrari only built 399 examples of the Enzo with car #400 being reserved for the Pope. The Vatican recently sold the car and used the proceeds for the Church’s humanitarian efforts around the world. It was a sensation at Monterey last year as we watched RM Sotheby’s hammer it for over six million dollars.
